Mark Tucker
Founder
Mark founded Aspen Equity Partners in 2009 and brings a career-long focus in investments and financial services. He is responsible for the firm’s investment strategy, sourcing and executing opportunities across a diversified real estate portfolio, private equity and venture capital investments.
He has invested in several asset classes, including mobile home parks, self-storage, multi-family, medical office, boat storage, apartments and mixed-use developments.
He leads investor relations, capital formation, and fund management, overseeing both individual assets and diversified real estate funds
Previously, Mark served as Managing Director of Retirement Plan Sales and Marketing at Claymore Securities, where he developed and marketed a family of collective investment funds utilizing exchange-traded funds (ETFs) from multiple providers.
He was also a partner at Administrative Management Group for 15 years. Prior to the firm’s sale to Lincoln Financial Group, he led sales, marketing, and client relationship management, working closely with consultants and RIAs on plan design, asset allocation, investment selection, and employee communications.
Mark earned an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BA in Business Economics from Wheaton College.
Laurie Henkle
Self-Storage and New Business Development
Laurie oversees Aspen’s boat storage and self-storage operations, managing day-to-day performance, operational strategy, and growth initiatives. In addition to her role with Aspen, she owns and operates multiple storage facilities, light industrial properties, and residential real estate assets.
She brings more than 40 years of entrepreneurial experience across a diverse range of industries. Laurie launched her first business in 1985 while still in college and went on to found Brindar Design, Inc., a women’s specialty apparel company serving more than 5,000 accounts in the golf, gift, and resort markets. She successfully led the company until its sale in 2003.
In 1995, she founded NOE International, a nonprofit organization that now serves more than 1,000 young people and their families through four community centers in Morelia, Mexico. In 2026, she co-founded a ride-sharing company operating a fleet of 10 Tesla vehicles.
Laurie earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Wheaton College and became an equity partner with Aspen in 2019.
Kim Hallberg
Property Management
Kim Hallberg is an experienced property and facilities management professional with a strong background in operations and administration. She oversees the day-to-day operations of three self-storage facilities, with a focus on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence.
Her responsibilities include preparing and administering contracts, managing rent collections, maintaining customer accounts through storage management systems, and overseeing lien and eviction processes when necessary. Kim also coordinates facility and property maintenance, ensuring repairs and capital improvements are completed promptly and to established standards.
She joined Aspen in 2021.
Kathy Goodman
Colorado Land Development
Kathy oversees Aspen’s ranch land development initiatives in Colorado. With more than 35 years of experience in real estate brokerage and hands-on development, she brings deep expertise in market analysis, land positioning, and buyer demand trends.
She joined Aspen as an equity partner in 2024.
Rusty Popp
Mobile Home Park Acquisitions and Operations
Rusty leads the mobile home community property management operations for Aspen Equity Partners. He brings extensive experience managing more than 1,500 units nationwide, including single-family homes, multifamily properties, condominium associations, and manufactured housing communities.
He is an active member of the Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, and Kentucky Manufactured Housing Associations and has served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Manufactured Housing Association.
Rusty earned a Bachelor of Arts and a master’s degree from Wheaton College and became an equity partner with Aspen in 2010.
Lisa Lofgren
Property Management/Accounting
Lisa provides accounting and operational support for Aspen’s storage facilities. She began her career in banking in 1988, specializing in residential and commercial lending, including FHA, VA, and SBA loans.
Lisa served as a Private Banking Credit Analyst at Wells Fargo Bank, working closely with high-net-worth individuals and families, before joining a private investment group as Vice President of Operations in 2003. In that role, she managed the day-to-day operations of the company’s commercial real estate portfolio and collaborated with the acquisitions team on new investment opportunities.
She joined Aspen in 2019.
